🛒 Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 200 g flour
- 100 g cold butter
- 50 g Multipack® Dark Demerara sugar
- 1 egg
- A pinch of salt
For the cream:
- 250 ml milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 60 g Multipack® Dark Demerara sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For topping:
- 300 g fresh strawberries 🍓
- 1 tbsp Multipack® Dark Demerara (for caramelized shine)
👩🍳 Instructions:
1️⃣ Make the crust:
In a bowl, combine flour, Multipack® Dark Demerara, and a pinch of salt. Add diced cold butter and rub it into the flour with your fingers until crumbly. Add the egg and form a dough. Wrap it in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
2️⃣ Roll & bake:
Roll out the dough and press it into a tart pan. Poke holes in the base with a fork and bake at 180°C (356°F) for 15–20 minutes until golden. Let it cool completely.
3️⃣ Prepare the cream:
Whisk the egg yolks with Multipack® Dark Demerara and cornstarch. Heat the milk and slowly pour it into the yolk mixture while whisking. Return to heat and cook until thickened. Stir in the vanilla and let it cool.
4️⃣ Assemble the tart:
Spread the cooled cream over the crust. Arrange the fresh strawberries on top.
5️⃣ Final touch:
Sprinkle with Multipack® Dark Demerara and gently caramelize with a kitchen torch for a crisp, golden finish.
